ABOUT CARY-GROVE SHOCKWAVE

Shockwave is a part time travel team intended to provide girls an opportunity to play competitive softball without a fulltime travel commitment. Shockwave players are required to play in the CGYBS spring recreational league.

Teams will play in scrimmage games and tournaments.

During the spring/summer practices and scrimmage games are scheduled per the discretion of the coach .

Teams will play in no more than 4 tournaments in the spring/summer. Tournaments include Lake Zurich Swing into Summer (Memorial Day Weekend), Cary’s Tournament of the Stars (July), Barrington’s All Star Classic (July) and possibly one more.

Player development is important and all teams will have winter indoor from January-March.  Winter practices are located at FatFro Zone (28039 W Northpointe Pkwy #2a, Lake Barrington, IL 60010).

We currently have an 8U and 10U team for the 2025 season!

Tryouts will be held in August for the 2026 teams.
