ABOUT CARY-GROVE SHOCKWAVE

Shockwave is a part-time travel team intended to provide girls an opportunity to play competitive softball without a full-time travel commitment. Shockwave players are required to play in the CGYBS spring recreational league.

Teams will play in scrimmage games and tournaments.

During the spring/summer, practices and scrimmage games are scheduled per the discretion of the coach.

Teams will play in no more than 4 tournaments in the spring/summer. Tournaments include Lake Zurich Swing into Summer (Memorial Day Weekend), Cary’s Tournament of the Stars (July), Barrington’s All Star Classic (July) and possibly one more.

Player development is important and all teams will have winter indoor training from January-March.  Winter practices are located at The Dugout (760 Industrial Drive, Cary).

We currently have 8U, 10U and 12U teams for the 2026 season!

Tryouts will be announced soon for the 2027 season.
