2025 8U Shockwave Tryout Registration

Shockwave is a part time travel team intended to provide girls an opportunity to play competitive softball without a full time travel commitment. Our focus is to develop players at a competitive level. 

Teams will play in several scrimmage games and tournaments.  Teams will play in no more than 4 tournaments in the spring/summer. Tournaments may include one over Memorial day weekend, Tournament of the Stars in July (Cary), Barrington Tournament in July and possibly one more. 

Player development is important and teams will have winter indoor practices from January-March.  Winter practices are located at FatFro Zone (28039 W Northpointe Pkwy #2a, Lake Barrington, IL 60010).

Shockwave players are required to play in the CGYBS spring recreational league and that is included in the Shockwave fee. 

8U Tryouts are September 28th, 10-11:30. Girls will only need to attend only one tryout. You will select one day when you register then you will receive an email with the specific start time of your tryout closer to the date.  Tryouts will be held at Sherwood Field – 211 Sherwood Drive.
